Sex therapy
Sex Therapy Toronto, GTA – Sex therapy can be a new space for many. So often, conversations around well-being revolve around spirituality, mental health, nutrition, and physical conditioning. But what about sex? Doesn’t sexual well-being have space in the conversation especially when you consider that sex is a part of most people’s self-care regimens?
I am a body-inclusive, poly-inclusive, LGBTQ2SI+-affirmative, sex therapist who provides a non-judgemental, safe zone to have pleasure-positive sex-based conversations. Everyone, no matter race, religion, gender, nor sexual orientation has the right to a non-oppressive, just, and validated life.
Before we go any further, if you experience pain of any kind during sex please consult with your family physician either before or while working with me. For your health and safety, it’s important we rule out and/or address any physical aspects of sexual health.

Sex and your life
Similar to things like social connection and emotional security, sex is a basic element of human functioning. Interestingly, a healthy relationship with sex boosts our self-esteem. According to the research, sex-based-pleasure is linked to lower rates of depression, increases in happiness, and even improvements within the immune system. Henceforth, sex in all forms whether it be self-play or play with others allows us to connect with those feel-good-hormones in the body.
It is important to understand and appreciate your body without shame. Consequently, that might mean reacquainting with yourself postpartum, as you age, or even as you heal from trauma. We will work together to unpack what brought you here and what you are looking for. We will have conversations around sexuality and how to increase your pleasure experience.
Undoubtedly, sex wellness looks so different for everybody. It can become so easy to blame ourselves when we are feeling disconnected or when our sex lives aren’t going the way we planned. With that being said, we also often forget about the broader barriers in the way towards a positive relationship with sex, such as societal norms that scream out very specific ideas of what pleasure is supposed to be.
