Counselling + Consulting
We haven't met yet, but I'm glad you're here.
Figuring out the mental health stuff isn’t easy. It can be exhausting and nerve-wracking, especially as we go through all of the options the world wide web sends our way.
If it’s alright with you, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Ayssa ("ice-a") Scipio. I’m a passionate mental health advocate, an eager sexual health educator, and honestly someone who’s simply trying to make navigating through this big ol’ world a little bit easier.
As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), Psychotherapist in Toronto, I work with people through anxiety and boundaries that haven't quite been working for them lately. I also support folks through intimacy challenges, and with parts of themselves they've learnt to box away because society, loved ones, religion, or past experiences made them feel like they had to.
is the mantra no longer working?
Whether it's because we don't want others thinking we can't carry the load. Or worse. Because we don't want ourselves to think we can't carry the load, so often we push ourselves until we can't take it anymore.
Sometimes, that can look like anxiety, irritability, or just ultimate fatigue showing up in relationships or at work.
Well, whatever brought you here, I think you deserve a little support getting through it all. For some, that means working with an intimacy and sex therapist in Toronto. For others, it's working with a therapist to build up boundaries, communication, and coping skills that actually do what you need.
Maybe you're noticing yourself pull back, avoid, or leave things on the back burner in hopes things will work themselves out. Or maybe it's different. Maybe you're experiencing a push away - feeling disconnected from desire, pleasure, and longing.
I work with you at whatever stage you’re at on your journey. Whether you know why you’re seeking out a therapist, or you want support identifying these needs – we’ll figure things out together.
